Everyone hates when you pay around 3,900 Bells for a painting that is FORGED! How can you tell if its not forged?
I have a few ways listed here but I'm really not sure if they work or not.
-There are small black and white spots on the forged paintings.
-There may be a price difference.
-Redd might push you more to buy the forged ones.

To make the forged paintings real, you go to Nook's shop and talk to him. You hit, "Sell" option, then when he names his price, don't sell. Then it becomes real. Then you can donate it to the musuem to put up. I'm not sure if this really works, it worked with one of my paintings, but I'm not sure if it was forged or not.

"Umm, that's forged i'll give you like 10 bells for it"
